生物技术是比利时的重点发展产业之一，在肝炎疫苗、流感疫苗、人、动物和植物基因技术、新药开发等方面有独到之处，此次BIOTECH CHINA2009展览会，近100平方米比利时国家展团首度参展，带来比利时生物技术领域的最新技术及产品。并于展览同期举办“比利时生物技术日”，通过此次活动，促进中比两国在生物技术领域的交流与合作，开拓亚洲市场，寻找合作伙伴。
